To know Joey and Kerri is to love them. The news of both of them being diagnosed with cancer is heartbreaking. We've created this site so that you can get updates, offer help, and use the guest book to write thoughts of encouragement and love. The outpouring of love and support they are receiving is very wanted and appreciated, however there will be times in the future when the Lynchs may not be able to keep up with phone calls and visits. Please use this site as an alternative means to stay connected.

Good morning everyone. Joey is still at EMMC, but we do have a special request:
We are asking for absolutely no visitors at all at this time.
Joey has had a small setback so he just needs to get his rest and get stronger. The problem is he looks so good, so you think he is doing well. Unfortunately his insides are telling him different. I am the biggest offender of this myself!! Dr. Starks has been in this morning and they talked of their "plan". His Dr. in Portland knows of the situation and the lines of communication between Bangor and Portland are getting better. We are in very good hands in both places, we just need to do what is best for Joey. Just to ease your minds, he is OK, again, he needs to get his strength back and get his rest. When blue stuff comes out, it is never an encouraging...right Jenny?!?!
I am still in Portland, so this makes the equation a little tougher. You need to know that my friends here have been helpful beyond words as far as making things happen when I need them. I am so lucky to have them!! (Thank you Donna, Chris and Steve. You were awesome when I needed you last night:)
I usually like to keep the blog postings a little more light and upbeat than this is today, but I know you all understand what we are going through and we feel your prayers and postitive thoughts.
Thanks for understanding our needs and I will post tonight once I get back home.
God Bless and {{hugs}} to all.

  1. I had a very nice visit with your mom yesterday afternoon as I dropped off lots of bright and cheery artwork compliments of students at the Dedham School- a room could be papered wall to wall with the posters, banners and cards! They must think you guys are nice or something like that. We continue to keep you both (and of course Cam and Caleb too) in our thoughts each and every day and pray for a positive turn of events, with steady recovery to follow...we know that you know how many people are with you now and for the duration...Safe travels!

    Love,
Shelley, Gary, Alex, Ian and Anna

  3. Don't feel bad for asking people to give you all some time. The first and foremost priority is for Joey to get his rest and his strength back, and you too when the time comes. We all love you and respect you enough to comply with whatever you ask... There are bound to be big bumps in this road you're traveling so don't hesitate to tell us what you need and don't need and hang in there. We love you so...

  4. Don't ever apologize for asking for people not to visit. My husband was very ill a few years ago and we put a sign on the door for immediate family. All respected that wish because they, as well as we, wanted what was the very best for him. Your courage and humor is amazing and you are giving strength to all who are following this blog. Hope we can give back a small portion of what your family is giving in these blogs......Nothing like a great attitude.....also, thanks Jimmy for all your dedication to Little League in the area....I am now enjoying my grandson playing Little League. Will hold your family and the Dr.'s caring for you in our prayers. God Bless

  12. Thank you so much, Kerri, for telling it like it is!! We all understand and appreciate what you tell us. Nobody wants it to be difficult for you. We would all love to see you, but by letting us know that now is not the time, it alleviates our apprehension about whether we should or should not visit. Love you both lots. Give Joey a big hug for me.
