To know Joey and Kerri is to love them. The news of both of them being diagnosed with cancer is heartbreaking. We've created this site so that you can get updates, offer help, and use the guest book to write thoughts of encouragement and love. The outpouring of love and support they are receiving is very wanted and appreciated, however there will be times in the future when the Lynchs may not be able to keep up with phone calls and visits. Please use this site as an alternative means to stay connected.

Joey is a little frustrated today...He wonders "why is it that after all of these years he's taken such great care of his liver and now they take exactly 30 seconds to drive a tube straight through it!! And yes, by the way it does hurt!!" Joey offered to pay for the extra tube to go around his liver instead of through it, but you know medical costs these days, they instisted on stabbing it instead! The tube is doing it's job by draining the gallbladder, but what a pain! He has started to drink little sips and has had small amounts of popsicle and jello. They taste just OK to him. He wants to take it extremely slow this time. Still looking like it will be at least Tues. before getting out.
Finally got the private room last night at around 9pm. This alone will help the healing.
Might not be able to blog for a couple of days. Headed out tonight for Portland and won't be back until Tues. I will try to keep you all posted.
God Bless and {hugs}} to all!

Sorry....I'm still trying to make you laugh. Love you guys...things will get better.

  3. Joe, I've been reading the blog's and keeping up with all the latest news. It's great to be up to date. I've been thinking alot about you in the last couple weeks and hoping that the transition into full recovery for you is a swift one. It's remarkable that when contimplating over these trying times how much it makes us all have a stronger sense of our emotions for you and your family but also for our family & loved ones. After reading your blogs this evening while watching the backyardigans(kids show) with my son on the couch, i came to this realization as i am sure you have with your family as well. I hugged my son a little tighter tonight and gave him twice as many kisses than i usually do. I would also like to extend this extra thoughts and prayers to your family as well, and hope for a speedy recovery. Can't wait to see you when your up and about. All the best. Rich Trott & Family

  4. Read your comments yesterday but you are on my mind today. Praying the day goes well and better than expected.
I watched Lucy last night until 4 this morning. One of those nights and wished you could have watched it with me . You would have laughed. Each episode was crazy but I had to laugh just the same.
God Bless and lots of love,

  5. Joey and Kerri,
I am so sorry you have to go through all this. I am still praying for you daily and wish there was something more I could do. I am at the hospital almost every day, but I know Joey needs his rest so have not stopped by. I'm sure he is overwhelmed by visitors. God Bless all of you!!

  6. Saw Rick O on Saturday and he told me you were at EMMC! Dr Starks is who I had for all of my surgeries too! One more thing we have in common!!!! (this is only to make you laugh...... so laugh, will you??!!) Leah is now home and I don't know WHERE we are going to put all of the STUFF she had in her dorm room!!!! oh well, it's good to have her home again. They were runners up for the season and the team voted her MVP and she received the honor of 1st Team All Conference for catching (as a Freshman!) THIS IS ALL BECAUSE SHE HAD A FANTASTIC COACH IN HER DEVELOPING YEARS WHO TRULY BELIEVED IN HER AND TOLD HER SO!!!!! I could NEVER thank you enough, Joey and Kerri, you have ALWAYS shown her great support too!!!! Looks like Tommy has dodged deployment once again ... (THANK GOD!) I am constantly sending all of my love and strength your way.

    Love

  7. Guys,
We have been thinking about you every day. Sounds like Kerri is in the neighborhood and you will be cared for by the folks in Bangor (maybe you can negotiate another sponge bath).
Can't wait to see you both on the dock sipping all natural organic yogurt smoothies! I'll have a beer in honor of your liver (I'm pretty sure mine already has holes in it).
    Love ya!

  8. Hang in there Joey! Rough patches are part of the road. We are thinking of you and hoping things start to improve soon.

Kerri - we are thinking of you also. Hope you are getting a little rest, your appts. are going well and that they can get Joe more comfortable. Please call if there is anything we can do. The power has been out since yesterday at 4:00 so if it doesn't come on soon, Tom will see if he can get your generator going so your fridge and freezer are o.k.

We send all the well wishes possible!
    Tom and Janice
